#ProjectReadathon Surpasses One Million Minutes on World Book Day
Thank you for reading and helping to get 300,000 Penguin Random House books in the hands of children in need!
#ProjectReadathon, the reading and giving initiative that launched on April 17 in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, culminated in a global celebration of books and reading on World Book Day this past Sunday, April 23. With enthusiastic support from authors, readers, and partners, the one-week initiative surpassed its one million minutes goal and demonstrated that the simple act of reading can have far-reaching social impact: Penguin Random House will donate 300,000 books to Save the Children.
By Sunday, campaign participants had logged over one million minutes through reading, listening and contributing partners. As a result, Penguin Random House will donate 300,000 books to Save the Children, to benefit the organization’s literacy programming across North America.
